Someone mentioned a chain at one point and I processed their guitar thru it. Came out totally different (personally it is a waste of time to simple load up their samples and do nothing more - so it was necessary to mix further

) It only encourages people to copy/pasta the settings and expect stellar sounds unfortunately
More or less kept the contour @ noon , and nothing incredibly drastic in the eq settings on the amp. Impulses will dish the most radical eq changes, so just listen to what they give you in context to the rest of your mix (drums/bass/etc), and avoid any drastic peaks or crazy frequencies that are running rampant in an analyzer. If you can avoid such rowdy eq by simply changing the impulse, then do it (at least, it'd be my preference rather than trying to clamp down on it with more eq down the chain.)
