Smells like teen spirit impulse

Hi everybody,

I'm trying to make an impulse with the clean part of "Smells like teen spirit".
It works, I've got the typical preamp sound of this part, but...
It sound's like a telephone call, with a bit of saturation in the middle - that's bad.
And no EQ can fix my problem. I used 24 bits/96000 Hz mono.

which part of the song did you take your impulse from. I have a bit of experience with optaining impulses from songs but I need to hear your result to analyze your problem.
