guitar > real Overdrive pedal > interface

Postby budwar65 » Sun Oct 16, 2016 6:34 pm

Hello!
Can I connect my pedal (powered by a 9V adapter) direct into the Focusrite interface?
I was connecting pedals while they were battery powered, but I've heard that it might harm my audio interface with the 9V adapter...

Will the Overdrive pedal sound good in this context?

Can't think of any reason why it would harm the interface. I've often plugged various pedals direct into my UX2 and haven't had any issues.

Make sure phantom power isn't on.

As always have everything powered down before connecting!
