Hi,

I've just bought the ZFX and on my older computer I have problems with the latency using the Zoom software.

If I use the Guitar Rig LE I have less problems but I can't seem to find how to configure the pedal assignment.
How do I assign effects / patches to the floor pedal buttons and expression pedal ?
Any tutorials on this ?

Like in the photos above it detects the hardware but I cannot seem to assign it

Thank you,
Herman

UGH!!! I just bought a new machine, Vista 64 bit, and find out that I can't use the ZOOM C5.1t. They don't have a 64 bit compatible driver. This SUCKS!!!

It's not Vista that sucks. Vista 64-bit rocks. More efficient processor usage, access to high amounts of RAM, very stable OS that doesn't crash for anything (XP Pro 32-bit doesn't handle fatal exceptions as gracefully as Vista). The audio gear industry sucks because they're as slow as molasses in supporting 64-bit hardware. 64-bit CPUs have been widely commercially available since 2003. That's when the AMD 64 took off, kicking the old AMD XP+ series in the teeth performance wise. And yet here five years later, only a handful of audio companies have caught up to five years ago in terms of driver support. It's a disgrace and none of us should put up with it. They need to know we're dissatisfied.

I had to dual boot XP Pro 32-bit until recently because integral hardware had no 64-bit drivers. I just got done re-authorizing all of my software for my 64-bit Vista Business install, because now I can finally use most (not all!) of my hardware. It's ridiculous that the industry has dragged their feet to the point that they're about to be TWO MAJOR OS RELEASES BEHIND. XP is about to be twice deprecated but we're still looking at an industry which grumbles and shambles instead of getting a little pep in their step to stand behind their products meaningfully.

AZMully, if you need help setting up your computer so that you can dual-boot between 32-bit and 64-bit, let me know. It's not too painful but there are some things you don't want to get wrong and it helps to have someone who's already done to help you out.

Dear Dalton,

Thank you for your inquiry.

Dalton Question

May i ask If your company maybe updateing the Drivers for the ZFX C5.1T for Windows 7?

Zoom Answer

Unfortunately, we do not have a plan to support Windows 7 system at this time.

Dalton Question

Will the drivers be Rectified to be able to use the C5.1T in 24bit or has this been overlooked when designing the unit with usb 1.1 support only?

ZOOM Answer

Although the C5.1t supports USB 1.1 only, 24bit audio recording is possible in most computer's environment.

Sincerely yours,ZOOM Corporation.

Well it Seems theres NO updates on the Horizon with Drivers for Windows 7

ZOOM does not recognise the drivers they Have engineered for these Products only have the Possiblity of 24bit
Yet they Still Clearly Market and Sell these Products as 24Bit

ZOOM Corperations response clearly Answers they have no understanding of there own specifications 8)

Dalton

Zoom always seems to take their time when it comes to 64bit OS support. It's stupid, but just the way they are. As far as them not having any plans to support Windows7 that sounds like a general support (or caned) answer. The odds are they will start supporting Windows 7 eventually. They would be stupid not to.

Exactly, and a company with useless products doesn't make money.... well MOST any way. This happened with my G9.2tt. There was no 64bit support for a LONG time. I can't say fore sure when they added it, but i know it was some time over the past year. Since then I have learned that it wouldn't do me any good anyway so i haven't used it. Meaning I can't speak for the strength of the drivers. But, I would imagine they would be on par with most audio interfaces as they have standards, and other companies to compete with.

Hope it all works out for you guys with the ZFX though!
